“Essence of Time” unit report: The situation escalates

The intensity of the shellings is increasing along all of the whole front-line, “Essence of Time” unit reported on their official page in the social networks on the evening of May 10th.

The Ukrainian side slowly intensified fire across the whole front-line. The artillery of the Ukrainian army shelled the outskirts of Donetsk, the area of the former Donetsk Airport, Spartak village, and “Yasinovatskiy” checkpoint were also under the fire. In the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Belaya Kamenka and Sahanka villages were shelled. The situation was tense near Gorlovka town and Logvinovo village. According to the unit’s report, the enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, self-propelled guns (SPG), automatic grenade launchers, and small arms. The Ukrainian army continues to amass the artillery at the contact line between the parties. DPR intelligence spotted SPG, 120mm howitzer D-30, multiple launch rocket systems “Grad” near Granitnoe village, the report stated.

DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin informed that the Ukrainian sabotage-recon group was neutralized while attempting to blow up a depot of petrol, and oil and lubricants in Donetsk on May 9th.
