Donetsk happily celebrates the sacred Victory Day. Everything was prepared for the military parade on Lenin square from the early morning. A large number of people have gathered along Artyoma street to greet the marching veterans and fighters. Numerous flowers made the people who gathered look bright.
The orchestra thundered and the parade started. People cheerfully greeted the soldiers and military hardware, drowning them with flowers. Everyone tried to throw their flowers so that they would reach a tank of self-propelled artillery gun passing by. People were screaming “Our guys!” and “Thank you!”
After the parade of units and hardware, the “Immortal Regiment” entered the square. Thousands of residents of the Republic were carrying the portraits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, participants of the Great Patriotic War. There were so many people, that the stream seemed endless. Everybody was repeating, “Fascism will not pass!”
Among the black and white pictures of the warriors of the Red Army were the newer photos of the warriors of this war. All of them were walking alongside the living. Pyatnica, Bolgarin, Belka, Alis, Sych, Sukhar, Alpinist and many others, who gave their lives for their fellow men.
The column of thousands marched to the monument “To Your Liberators, Donbass”, where they lay flowers.
We congratulate everyone with Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. We believe that the victory in the current war with modern fascism will certainly be ours! Congratulations, comrades!
