In the evening of April 5th, a total of 19 mortar shells were fired at the northern suburbs of Donetsk and Dokuchaevsk town in the south of the capital of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) by the Ukrainian military, a source in DPR Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency.
“From 6 PM till 8.30 PM, Spartak village, the area of former Donetsk Airport, and Dokuchaevsk were shelled. 14 82mm and 5 120mm mortar shells were fired at these territories,” the spokesman of the Agency said.
According to the source, the Ukrainian military was shelling from the positions in Novotroitskoe, Opytnoe townships and in ventilation shaft of Butovskaya coal mine. The Ukrainian army used anti-tank guided missiles along with the mortars. Information about casualties and destruction is specified.
In the afternoon, April 5th, the Ukrainian army shelled Spartak village twice by mortars.
