Now we are helping severely ill Dima. The boy has brain maldevelopment. He doesn’t move, doesn’t see, can’t chew food. He said his first and only word “Mama” when Ukrainian shells were exploding near their house. But he can hear and feel, comprehend. Due to the renewed shelling he and his mother temporarily moved from Yasinovataya to Donetsk where we came to see them.
We didn’t come empty-handed and brought gifts – a heater, a ventilator, a blender, a blood pressure meter, a special pressure reducing mattress to prevent bed sores, 3-months supply of diapers, medicine and personal hygiene products. Furthermore we have handed over 5,000 rubles for food products and other expenses.
Dima received all these things thanks to the aid from France. Church members of the Three Hierarchs Orthodox Church gathered €470 for the children of Yasinovataya who live in in the hardships of war. It’s hard to describe how timely and needed this help was! The boy’s mother did not expect such care and at first couldn’t find the words: “We have never received such aid before! Many thanks to orthodox believers from France, and everyone who is not indifferent to children of Donbass.”
