Ukrainian army units are being replaced by militants of nationalist battalions along all of the frontline. The commanders of Donetsk People’s Republic Armed Forces do not exclude the possibility of an enemy´s offensive during the holidays in May, “Essence of Time” unit reported on its official page in the social networks.

Escalation on the sector of the frontline south of Donetsk is being observed.

Kiev junta redeploys “Aydar” at the front positions near Luganskoe and Elenovka villages. Kiev junta’s artillery continues to shell Dokuchaevsk,” the report stated.

The outskirts of Donetsk are also under artillery fire. The area of former Donetsk Airport and the areas of “Volvo-Center”, “Yasinovatskiy” checkpoint, Spartak, Staromikhaylovka and Trudovskie villages were shelled by 120mm and 82mm mortars. Ukrainian artillery shelled from the Avdeevka, Peski, Krasnogorovka, and Mariinka directions. However, on the whole, the intensity of the shellings of the northern outskirts of Donetsk slightly decreased this week.

Ukrainian army continues to shell Sakhanka village in the south of DPR and Zaytsevo village in the north of Gorlovka, provoking DPR Armed Forces to open return fire.

Across the front-line, the Ukrainian Army commanders are conducting the rotation of the troops resulting in the replacement of the regular Ukrainian army units by the militants of Nazi Batallions. “Azov”, “Aydar”, “Right Sector” take the positions instead of the 57th and the 58th independent motorized infantry brigades, and 14th and 72nd independent mechanized brigades. Donetsk People’s Republic Armed Forces do not exclude the possibility of an enemy´s offensive during the holidays in May,” the unit added on their page.

It was earlier reported that Kiev amassed 22 mechanized and tank battalions, 12 howitzer, artillery and anti-tank divisions, as well as about 40 thousand soldiers at the contact line. As the Commander of Operational Command of DPR Armed Forces Dennis Sinenko stated, such redeployment can be considered as the formation of an offensive group of the Ukrainian troops.
