US human rights defenders point out to poor investigation of Odessa massacre by Kiev

US State Department report on human rights in Ukraine pointed out the lack of the investigation results of the mass murder, which took place on May 2nd, 2014 in Odessa, TASS news agency informed citing the published report of the US State Department.

It is noted in the report that Ukraine has not investigated the events in the Trade Unions House in Odessa thoroughly enough. The report indicates that the authorities failed the investigation into the deaths of 48 people during these events and confined themselves to the initiating of the criminal proceedings against so-called “separatists”.

On May 2nd, 2014, in Odessa, the supporters of Antimaydan (a public movement against the Ukrainian banana revolution of 2013-2014 – Editor) clashed with the far-right supporters of Euromaidan (“banana revolution” in Ukraine of 2013-2014 – Editor), the former were locked up in Trade Unions House and burnt alive there.
