Ukrainian artillery shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on several key sectors of the front, “Essence of Time” unit reported on its official page in the social networks on the evening of April 11th.
Combat using small arms erupted at the outskirts of Gorlovka town. During the day, the Ukrainian artillery shelled mining village Glubokaya, Zaytsevo and Shirokaya Balka villages. There is information about the destruction in the residential area. A drone was spotted over the town.
There is unrest on Yasinovataya direction, “In the area of “Yasinovatskiy” road police post, the situation remains tense. During the day, enemy’s 82mm and 120mm mortars were shelling. A direct hit to a private house was reported in Yakovlevka village near Yasinovataya town.“
The northern and western outskirts of Donetsk are also under fire. The hits reported in the area of former Donetsk airport, Spartak village, the area of “Volvo-center”, and mining village Trudovskoye.
The official page of the unit also gave an account of combats near Logvinovo township. The Ukrainian side used infantry fighting vehicles and tanks. The tense situation is in the south of the Republic: “More than 14 mortar shells were fired at Sahanka township of Novoazovskiy district by the Ukrainian side.“
According to DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin, Ukrainian army command may make an attempt of a large-scale offensive on Orthodox Easter (May 1-2) or Victory Day (May 9).
