Russian Aerospace Forces disrupted the attempt of “Jabhat al-Nusra” (Organization banned in Russia) militants to attack Aleppo suburb, striking the terrorists’ positions, according to a bulletin of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Conflicting Parties.
“After using artillery, terrorist gangs controlled by “Jabhat al-Nusra” [Organization banned in Russia – Editor] with a total number up to 1500 people, with the support of three tanks and 20 vehicles with mounted heavy machine guns attacked positions of Kurdish militia in the Sheikh Maqsood quarter from Ashraf and al-Shabab districts of Aleppo,” the report says.
18 civilians including children, and 11 fighters of the Kurdish self-defense units were killed as a result of the shelling. 36 people got injuries of varying severity. After the aerial reconnaissance and exact coordinates of targets determination, the planes of Aerospace Forces attacked terrorist positions.
