Nine Donetsk People’s Republic soldiers died, another seven were injured in the past week by Ukrainian army shelling, DPR Human Rights Ombudswoman’s press service informed today, Donetsk News Agency reports.
“17 people were hospitalized from March 26 to April 1 as a result of combat in Donetsk People’s Republic. 10 of them are civilians, including two minors, and seven are DPR servicemen. Another nine DPR servicemen died,” press service noted.
It was earlier reported that 10 civilians, including two children, were injured as a result of Ukrainian shelling of Gorlovka outskirts on March 31.
According to DPR Human Rights Ombudswoman Darya Morozova, a total of 4007 people were killed since the beginning of the armed conflict in Donbass, including 583 women and 3424 men. Over 6236 people received injuries of varying severity.
DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin informed on March 31 in Donetsk News Agency press center that Ukrainian military fired over 650 mortar shells at the territory of the Republic in the past week. Ceasefire was violated over 111 times.
