In early march, violating the Mink agreements, Ukrainian army occupied the buffer zone and moved closer to the road between Donetsk and Gorlovka. DPR army commanders decided to force the enemy to return to their original positions. After a grueling battle, the forces of 11th mechanized infantry regiment, supported by units of interior SWAT teams, managed to squeeze the enemy from the greatest part of the neutral area. The Ukrainians squandered their advantage. Retreating with losses, Ukrainian army immediately asked for a truce and called OSCE observers. Again, the fighting continues.
