Ukrainian Defense Ministry ordered the production of 5 thousand jet engines for reactive infantry flamethrowers (RIF), according to Donetsk People’s Republic Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin. He cited intelligence reports, Donetsk News Agency informs.
“ ‘Ivanchenko Progress’ company received an order from Ukrainian Defense Ministry to produce 5 thousand jet engines for RIFs. Based on this information we may assume that Ukrainian military is preparing for offensive urban combat, since such weaponry is effective in large cities,” he noted.
DPR Defense Ministry informed yesterday, March 19, that Ukrainian military used flamethrowers during an attack. Then Ukrainian army tried to breach the defenses of DPR forces near Yasinovataya. The attack was repelled by the divisions of the 11th guards regiment. As a result of the Ukrainian attack, one DPR soldier died, another five were wounded.
