More than 5% of all tractors and 30% of all agricultural machinery in the agro-industrial complex of Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, are in fact imported.
Over the entire period of Import Substitution Program in Republic of Tatarstan, production and repair of more than 2 thousand of different parts for imported machinery were mastered by machine-building and small enterprises. They also mastered overhaul of fuel equipment and hydraulic systems, electronic systems and control units for modern tractors and combines. Now all prices for all items are 1.5 – 2.5 times lower and all restoration jobs are 5 – 6 times less than their original prices.
Work on import substitution is performed with the assistance of engineers, metallurgists and engineers of industrial enterprises, professional and technical service managers, dealers and suppliers of agricultural machinery, chief engineers of agricultural holdings and agricultural firms.
