OSCE Mission chief: Advance of troops a violation of Minsk agreements in Donbass

Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug considers that any advance of the troops of parties of the conflict in Donbass into the adjacent territory will be regarded as a violation of the Minsk agreements. He told this to reporters on March 17.

At the moment, the Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission arrived in the area of Avdeevka town occupied by the Ukrainian Forces. The head of the Russian part of the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination, major general Rustam Muradov is also conducting an inspection here. In his conversation with Hug, he stressed that the Ukrainian military had advanced into the “gray zone” and placed the Ukrainian flag at their positions. Hug registered the fact that the positions of Ukrainian military in the area of Avdeevka town changed. He added that the concept of “gray zone” is not in the Minsk Agreements.
