Since January Russian military cargo aircrafts delivered 250 tons of food and other essential supplies to the besieged Syrian town of Deir ez-Zor, the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
“In cooperation with Syrian partners Russian Aerospace Forces continues to provide assistance to the population of the besieged city of Deir ez-Zor by parachuting of humanitarian aid cargo. Since January totally 250 tons of food (flour, sugar, canned food), essential items (tents, blankets, personal hygiene items), medicine and bandaging materials have been delivered by Russian military cargo aircrafts with the help of Russian parachute platforms P-7,” the Foreign Affairs Ministry comments.
