During the night of February 16th-17th, Kiev junta’s punitive forces fired more than 200 shells at the outskirts of Donetsk, a source in the Defense Ministry of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) informed Donetsk News Agency.
According to the report, last night the shelling of DPR territory was especially intense, punitive forces fired more than fifty 152mm mines, and more than 150 82mm and 120mm mines at the outskirts of Donetsk. The shelling lasted for about four hours.
In recent days, Kiev junta’s punitive forces sharply increased the intensity of the shelling of DPR territory. Overnight, February 15th-16th, more than 27 houses were damaged, and a child was wounded during the shelling of Zaytsevo village by the Ukrainian army. Locals say that the punitive forces use high-caliber mortar shells and that it has been a while since such an intense shelling occurred.
