Peaceful surrender of several towns on the outskirts of Aleppo is negotiated

17.02.2016, Aleppo.

Currently, with the mediation of elders, negotiations are underway regarding peaceful surrender of several cities on the outskirts of Aleppo: Anadan, Haritan, Bayanun, Hayan, Tel Hamra and others. Most of the militants agreed to a cease-fire and evacuation to avoid the destruction of buildings and victims. However, according to the newspaper “Al-Akhbar”, agreements were prevented by terrorists from “Jabhat an-Nusra” (Organization banned in Russia), who refused to surrender.

According to the information portal “Surya al-Ain”, the commanders of the Military Forces of Syria appealed to the Syrian citizens who joined the militant groups, “to lay down their arms and return to ordinary life“. It is emphasized that “they need to hurry up with the answer and follow the example of the militants, who agreed to the local ceasefire.” “Anyone who holds a weapon must immediately surrender to the authorities,” the Armed Forces Command warned.
