President's Spokesman: Russia rejects accusations of attacking hospital in Syria

16.02.2016, Russia.

President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the Turkish accusations of alleged Russian aircraft bombardment of hospitals in Syria, said that Moscow will not accept such statements, and emphasized that every time these statements aren’t supported by any proof. Earlier the U.S. State Department couldn’t confirm who actually attack the hospital.

No, once again: we categorically refuse and do not accept such claims. All the more so, each time those who make such statements are unable to prove their empty accusations,” – Peskov said to reporters on Tuesday.

He added that it is necessary to rely on the primary source in this case, “and for us in this case the primary source is the statements of the Syrian authorities official representatives.”

Earlier Turkey accused Russia of bombing the MSF hospital in Syria by a ballistic missile launched from the Caspian Sea. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Caspian fleet doesn’t include a ship capable of firing such missiles.
