Ukrainian sabotage-reconnaissance group attempted to break through to Donetsk, but failed, Donetsk People’s Republic Defense Ministry source told to Donetsk News Agency on February 2
The attempt occurred at around 11 o’clock from the north of Donetsk, between Volvo-center and Peski village. During the attempt to break through to Donetsk was accompanied by Ukrainian army shelling of northern Donetsk by 82mm and 120mm mortars.
According to DPR officials, Ukrainian military increased the number of provocations and shelling on the contact line. Over 100 shells were fired at DPR territory in the past 24 hours. A civilian woman was wounded, a resident of Zaytsevo village; a resident of Shyrokaya Balka village exploded on a Ukrainian landmine.
