Donetsk People’s Republic Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin has stated that, according to DPR intelligence, Armed Forces of Ukraine have launch the preparations for a campaign aimed at neutralizing the volunteer punitive battalions.
“Having tried all means of influence, the commanders of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” (the way Kiev refers to the war in Donbass – Editor) have proceeded to preparing a military operation aimed at neutralizing the “volunteer” divisions. For this purpose a group of “anti-terrorist operation” staff officers have arrived to Granitnoye village,” Basurin said.
“In turn, the volunteer battalions are getting prepared for an armed confrontation with the divisions of the Ukrainian army. This way, two platoons of “Right Sector” volunteer corps have been spotted arriving in Novoalekseevka township, 19 km away from the contact line,” Defense Ministry representative said.
