Gallup Observes a Record Drop of Social Indicators in Ukraine

07.01.2016, Ukraine.

The standard of living has reached its historical minimum in Ukraine, Gallup informs. According to the company’s research, Ukrainians rated their quality of life at 4 points out of 10. “Poverty” is how 79% of residents evaluate the current situation in the country.

With their economy in shambles during a deadly year of fighting between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists, it is not surprising that this depressed outlook permeates nearly every segment of Ukrainian society. Current life ratings have dropped among residents from all age groups, education levels and genders. This remains true for residents’ perceptions of their lives in five years, with the exception of the richest Ukrainians, whose ratings of their future lives have improved slightly over the past year.” – noted in the commentary.
