As a result of the punitive operation of the Kiev junta in Donbass, over 400 thousand Ukrainian citizens are ready to apply for Russian citizenship.
“Russia did everything possible to integrate the citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave their country. Over four hundred thousand people are potentially ready to integrate into Russian society,” said the Federal Migration Service of Russia.
Currently 2.6 million Ukrainian citizens remain in Russia, 1.1 million of whom are residents of the South-East of Ukraine.
“Since April 2014 to this moment over 1.3 million Ukrainian citizens have applied to the Federal Migration Service to determine their legal status, among them over 419 thousand applied for refuge, over 311 thousand applied for temporary residence permit,” the Migration Service specified.
