Russian Federal Service for Human Welfare Protection vaccinated 95% of DPR and LPR children against polio

24.12.2015, Donbass.

95% of children in Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics were vaccinated against polio by The Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being, according to the head of the Federal Service Anna Popova.

Unlike in DPR and LPR, the scope of vaccination against polio of the population in Kiev junta-controlled territories remains low, according to Igor Pereginets, the Minister of Healthcare in the territories controlled by Kiev junta.

We have completed the immunization against polio due to the situation in Ukraine. It is successfully completed both in Crimea and in the rest of Russia… We have helped the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic to conduct the immunization there… Considering the high risks of the disease coming from Ukraine’s territory,” Popova said.

As of today the immunization level matches the World Health Organization standards – 95% of children (in DPR and LPR – Editor) are protected against polio,” she specified.
