Chairman of the Management Committee of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller said that “Gazprom” suspends gas supplies to Ukraine until the next payment for the gas from Ukraine.
“Today (November 25 – Editor), at 10 o’clock in the morning, Ukrainian “Naftogaz” received all previously prepaid volumes of Russian gas. The new prepayment has not been received. There is no new application for the supply of gas from “Naftogaz”. Thus, the delivery of gas to Ukraine stops until we receive new payments from Ukrainian company.
At the same time now, even before the severe frosts come, Ukraine started to use gas from underground storage facilities, which do not have enough gas even without this. Refusal of Ukraine to purchase gas this coming winter creates serious risks for reliable transit of gas to Europe through Ukraine and for deliveries to Ukrainian consumers,” Alexei Miller said.
