Russian Investigative Committee launched a criminal investigation against a number of Ukrainian military officers

Russian Federation Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation against Ukrainian military, including the Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Ukrainian Defense Ministry General Staff head Viktor Muzhenko, as well as Ukrainian MP Oleg Lyashko on cases of prohibited means and methods of warfare, according to the official representative of Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin.

All of them are being suspected of committing crimes under part 1 of article 356 and article 357 of Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (using banned means and methods of warfare and genocide).

Among other things, MP Lyashko, the founder of the fascist “Azov” battalion, together with other “Azov” battalion members, is being accused of kidnapping and torturing a civilian whom they suspected of hiding stolen weapons. Having received no information they released him a day later.
