Kiev’s punitive forces have attempted to launch an offensive from the side of Mariupol, according to DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.
Last night the Ukrainian military have once again grossly violated the Minsk agreements. Early morning, in keeping with the best tradition of their Nazi predecessors, the enemy attempted to breach DPR’s line of defense in Starognatovka township region, from the side of Mariupol.
Junta’s forces have first employed artillery preparation for two hours using high caliber artillery, “Grad” multiple rocket launch systems, tanks and mortars and shelled Petrovskoe, Novolaspa and Belaya Kamenka region, according to Basurin. After which, at 7 in the morning, the punitive forces have launched the offensive in the direction of Starognatovka and Belaya Kamenka using 6 infantry fighting vehicles and 6 tanks.
As the enemy moved closer to our positions, heavy fighting had begun. The divisions of our First Independent Motorized Rifle brigade have inflicted a decisive defeat on the enemy, forced the enemy to stop and retreat to initial positions.
