Ukrainian fighters have used “Pion” self-propelled gun in their shellings of Donetsk People’s Republic. Among other places, “Ukrsplav” plant territory was shelled with this gun, as indicated by a shell fragment found on the site, said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin:
Inspecting the area shelled by the Ukranian Army we have found a fragment of a shell fired, presumably, from 203 mm 2S7 “Pion” artillery system, the maximum firing range of which is 47 km.
